Northeast Boise is quite literally "in the foothills".  There are a multitude of trailheads providing access to hundreds of miles of trails suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.  Just off Warm Springs Avenue is the trailhead for Table Rock, a very popular trail because of the panoramic view of downtown Boise from the top.  For water sports lovers, Lucky Peak Reservoir is close by with miles of open water for boating and fishing.  The Boise River also passes through Northeast Boise and is a popular spot for swimming, floating and fishing.
