Briarhill is actually two distinct communities located in Northwest Boise; Briarhill Townhomes and Briarhill Subdivision.
Briarhill Townhomes is an 85 unit townhouse community located in the foothills above northwest Boise. Built from 1973 through 1979, Briarhill was designed to be a low-maintenance option for those wishing to enjoy the nature and outdoors that living in the foothills, without having the responsibility of maintenance and yard work associated with a house. There are a variety of sizes and floor plans within Briarhill, ranging in size from 1186 square feet to 2492 square feet.
Briarhill Subdivision is a community of approximately 75 single-family homes located near Hill Road and Collister in northwest Boise. Built primarily from 1978 through 1983, Briarhill is typical of communities built in the late 1970s and the architectural design of that time. Homes are single level, two-story and split level design, ranging in size from 1200 to 3400 square feet. There has been some infill construction since the original development, as recent as 2015.
